The template is an expandable and shrinkable document. Use of Template is required.

If the template is not used for preparing the submission file, a mark of ZERO will be posted for that student work.

Students are required to read and understand the situation in the case before attempting to respond to requirements of the assignment. Students are required to read and understand the requirements before attempting to respond to requirements of the assignment. If any questions raise about the case requirements, students are required to ask for explanations at least three days in advance.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

In this activity, the assignment is not looking for students to be the best professionals in the fields that the assigned case discusses. For example, the assignment is not looking for the students to be the best engineers and give the best engineering solution. For all the cases, students have to look for a solution as business professional, mostly looking for the solution from the manager’s point of view. The proposed solution though should be reasonable enough: it should be a good-enough-viable and feasible business-management solution (viable – acceptable possible solution that may solve the problem; feasible – possible to be implemented).

More exactly, the work on the assignment will be evaluated based on level of performance in the following criteria:

  1. Is it a reasonable solution-does it consider the given particular situation in the given case or is a general, non-specified to the existing case solution?
  2. Is the proposed solution a viable one for the case?
  3. Is the proposed solution a feasible one for the case?
  4. Does the proposed solution address the existing problem?
  5. How well it addresses the problem-right to the core or it is beating around it?
  6. How the proposed solution is laid out-is it laid out according to guidelines that need be followed for memos?
  7. How the proposed solution is laid out-is it laid out according to guidelines that need be followed for executive summaries?
  8. How the proposed solution is laid out -the line of thought, is it seamless, conveniently unfolder to the proposee (receiver) so the reader can follow and understand the recommendation?
  9. How the whole document is composed and laid out –facts and details, are they reasonable supporting the insights and ideas and the proposed solution or there is any discrepancy between proposed solution and recommendations and facts and details that are supposed to support the success of the proposed solution?
