ST Assignment – Literature Review
There are two options to choose the titles for the Literature Review; students must choose
ONLY ONE OPTION:
A) students can freely decide the title and topic, or
B) students must select one of the proposed titles in this brief.
These options are explained below.
Option A: Deciding a title and topic by your own initiative.
In this option, students must choose a specific macroeconomic issue from the UK related to one
of the following broad topics:
a) Inequality and technology revolution.
b) Business cycle and economic policies.
c) Development of macroeconomic thinking and macroprudential policies.
d) Supply and demand for money and accommodative policies.
e) Labour discipline model, wages and supply side shortages.
f) Fiscal and Monetary policy and inflationary effects.
h) The rise of crypto-tokens and exchange rates models.
Option B: Choosing one of the proposed titles in this brief.
Students must focus on ONE of the following Literature Review titles:
- The relationship between the level of interest rates and the pricing of houses during times of
rising inflation - The relationship between inflation and unemployment during times of rising inflation
- The impact of inflation on the balance of payment and the currency exchange rate
- Analyse and reflect on potential impact from inflation to pension funds purchase value and
possible political compensation tools for specific age groups – young 32, middle 48 and elder 64
years old individuals.
Students must:
Students must summarise the main key point(s) in a table(s) or figure(s) on the main body of
the piece of work.
Help:
Students can submit using the template at the end of this brief, but it is not mandatory.
Students can find on library.dmu.ac.uk many finished journal articles, which can be used as
sources to write the Literature Review.
