This assignment is theoretical in nature and addresses the conceptual and historical legacy of Organizational Behaviour. As an applied behavioural science, it is subsumed in the theoretical and empirical superstructures of Psychology, Political Science, Mathematical Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, Sociology and a few other disciplines. However, the field of Psychology has always been pre-eminent as behavioural sciences are ensconced in the analytics of psychological theory. Having made that assertion, your task would be to examine how Industrial Psychology has shaped Organizational Behaviour theory and practice in the last 150 years or so.
This is a term paper, NOT a thesis or a dissertation. While a certain degree of analytical rigour is expected in addressing the theoretical legacy of Organizational behaviour (OB), you do not have to delve as deeply into the subject as you would if you are crafting or creating a doctoral-level research paper.
